GAS Furnaces
Modern high-efficiency gas furnaces and heat pumps can reduce your heating costs by as much as 50% compared to systems that are ten years or older. Many units built before the 1990s, including older air handlers, operate with an Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) of 65% or lower. Today’s standards require furnaces sold in the U.S. to have a minimum AFUE of 80% in the Southeast and Southwest regions, and at least 90% in the North. At Tex Heating and AC, our furnace lineup begins at 80% AFUE and reaches over 98% efficiency.

With input rates ranging from 50-125 kBTU [14.65-36.63 kW], it can be configured for upflow or horizontal installation. Additionally, this unit is compatible with air handlers and heat pumps. With a remarkable 96% A.F.U.E., this high-efficiency gas furnace is EcoNet® enabled and features two-stage heating for optimal comfort. It utilizes a constant CFM motor to ensure consistent airflow, making it an excellent choice for air handlers. The furnace has input rates ranging from 40 to 115 kBTU (11.7 to 33.7 kW) and offers flexibility with 4-way multi-position configuration options. Additionally, when registered, it comes with ten (10) years of conditional parts coverage, making it a reliable option for those considering heat pumps or gas furnaces.

An air handler plays a key role in your home’s comfort by circulating heated or cooled air throughout the house. It works with your outdoor unit — whether an AC, heat pump, or gas furnace — to keep temperatures consistent year-round. Inside, it uses a blower motor, evaporator coil, and either electric heat strips or a heat pump’s reversing cycle to deliver warm air when needed. Constant Torque Motor (ECM) provides efficient performance for air handlers and gas furnaces. The system features a 2-Stage Airflow and a Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) optimized for R-454B Refrigerant. With efficiencies up to 19 SEER2, this setup is ideal for heat pumps. Note that Conditional Parts require registration for a duration of ten (10) years.
Constant CFM Motor for optimal airflow in air handlers, featuring 2-Stage Airflow technology. HEAT PUMPS
Heat pumps are an excellent all-in-one solution for year-round comfort, providing both heating and cooling from a single system. They work seamlessly with air handlers to enhance efficiency and carry SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings for cooling efficiency and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) ratings for heating efficiency. Higher ratings indicate better energy savings compared to traditional gas furnaces, making heat pumps a smart choice for your home.
Cooling efficiencies reach up to 15.2 SEER2 / 11.7 EER2, while heating efficiencies can achieve up to 7.8 HSPF2. Our systems, which include air handlers and gas furnaces, come in nominal sizes ranging from 1.5 to 5 tons (5.3 to 17.6 kW) and provide cooling and heating capacities between 17.1 kBTU to 55.5 kBTU. Utilizing R-454B refrigerant, these heat pumps are designed for optimal performance. Conditional parts come with a ten (10) year registration requirement.
